Alexander Valley 2013 Jackson Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

This Cabernet shows mountain intensity in its blackberry, black currant and cassis flavors. It’s bone dry, with thick but refined tannins, and brightened by a fine burst of acidity.

Sonoma County Alexander Valley

The Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is grown from a collection of sites ranging from mountainous ridgelines as well as sloping benchlands. It’s dominantly planted from vineyard blocks planted along the Mayacamas Mountains, which towers over the valley. This wine can best be described as a product of its mountain orientation. The color indicates great depth and power with deep, dark purple and blue hues. Tannins grab and grip the palate’s exterior while rich texture fills the mid-palate. It is long and powerful on the finish, truly a classic mountain grown Cabernet Sauvignon.
